The estate ‘benchmark’ wine from Szepsy is a key wine to demonstrate his style and reputation as ‘the master of Tokaji’. Beautifully poised and finished, this is a polished furmint with flavours of wildflowers, lemon and lime, hedgerow and green bell peppers. Due to its barrel ageing, it achieves a touch of barrel spice and toast which is well integrated into the wine. Incredible, direct, linear, with almost Loire-esq spear-like acidity with a long and intense lingering in the mouth.
