Roberto Ghio Gavi di Gavi “Barabba”

Locals call Roberto Ghio a “wine philosopher” — the seventh generation of his family to craft wine in Gavi. His organic-certified vineyards sit in a unique corner of Piedmont, where soils have been shaped by centuries of exchange between inland and coast, and the vines are brushed by Ligurian sea breezes. The result is a Gavi with unmistakable character.

Straw yellow in colour, it reveals a delicate and light aroma of spices, benzenes, and flint, which are the result of the ageing. The palate is dry, precise, with good freshness and a well-balanced structure.
