Domaine de Bellevue is a renowned certified organic and biodynamic producer in the Pays Nantais that is forging a modern path for Muscadet through creative winemaking, fearless experimentation and true passion thanks to Jerome Bretaudeau. Because of his freestyle experimentation with various ageing periods, vessels and grape varieties, almost all his wines are sold as Vin De France. Many have developed cult-like followings abroad and are difficult to secure most years.
“Statera” is made with 100% Pinot Noir grapes that have an average vine age of 18 years old. The wine displays a bright ruby with intense aromas of violets, rose petals, wild strawberries, cranberries and herbs. The palate is extremely elegant, with silky tannins and pronounced flavours of black tea, spice and smoke. This is a blockbuster wine that will benefit greatly from a good decant 30-60 minutes before indulging.
