Andrew and Emma from Le Grappin are non-interventionalist in their approach and focus on the purity of the fruit that goes into their wines. Le Grappin is a prime example of the new wave of vignerons who have been drawn to Burgundy to make modern yet classic examples of superb parcels of wine.
The Pinot Noir for this cuvée was grown in a small lieu-dit called Aux Fourneaux (a lesser known 1er Cru site just outside Beaune!) , from vines that aged sixty years old. The 2018 vintage is bursting with bright red fruits like wild strawberry, red currant, and floral notes. The palate is crisp and pure, with soft tannins, a mouth-watering acidity, and a crunchy texture.
