We are very proud to have Mas de Daumas Gassac’s wines on our portfolio. Having believed in making wine in what was a farming county many decades ago, their belief in the region paid off with them proving the soil and terroir could make outstanding wine. Now generations on, they are well regarded as the ‘first growth of Languedoc’ with their flagship, complex Estate wines and now a much more affordable everyday range.
The Moulin de Gassac Chardonnay has a nose of rich citrus and floral notes. The palate has similarly fruity notes, crunchy orchard fruit and smooth honey note complementing a silky texture and a mouth-filling finish. This is a superb example of well-made, affordable (and dry) unoaked Chardonnay with both body and minerality. This is the perfect easy drinking style that is characteristic of the everyday Moulin de Gassac range. A perfect accompaniment for many foods but our favourites would be white meats, seafood, vegetarian or a good old curry!
