Fondo Antico from the Polizzotti-Scuderi family have 80 hectares of vineyards located in Contrada Portelli, in the Trapani area of Sicily. The family has owned the estate since the early 1800s and began producing wine in 1920. Tradition, heritage, and an understanding of the terroir are what create the beautiful wines from Fondo Antico. Zibibbo is a native aromatic grape variety that produces elegant wines. Also, known as Muscat of Alexandria which is suggested the ancient Egyptians used to cultivate this very historic grape.
Perfumed aromas of orange blossom, apricot, and eucalyptus. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, with a bright acidity, and a lovely long finish of lychee and spices.
