Since 1983, Maison Bruno Paillard has proudly displayed the disgorgement date on every bottle, a pioneering move in the region. Disgorgement marks the beginning of a new evolution in the wine’s life. Over time, the wine transitions through several aromatic stages, moving from fresh fruit to floral tones, then through layers of spice, toast, candied fruit, and finally, rich roasted notes. Each phase adding to its complexity.
This 2017 disgorgement of the Première Cuvée pours a pale lemon hue in the glass. On the nose, it reveals aromas of crisp apple, ripe pear, lemon curd, with subtle oxidative notes reminiscent of hazelnut and marzipan. The palate is light and precise, driven by focused, well-integrated acidity. The finish is elegant and persistent, showcasing the depth that bottle age can bring.
