This is pure Sangiovese Chianti from well-loved vines planted from 1975 to 1999 on high elevation, organic sandstone soils. Quietly farmed, away in the hills of Tuscany this wine transports you to everything amazing about the region.
The 2007 vintage is a fully mature Chianti Classico displays beautiful garnet with pronounced notes of cherry, cedar, cloves, baking spices and dried herbs. The palate is smooth with silky tannins with flavours of leather, forest floor and thyme, with bright acidity to provide freshness. This finish is long and lingering. A delicious wine, perfect for special occasions.
