Andrew and Emma from Le Grappin are non-interventionalist in their approach and focus on the purity of the fruit that goes into their wines. Le Grappin is a prime example of the new wave of vignerons who have been drawn to Burgundy to make modern yet classic examples of superb parcels of wine.
In addition to Le Grappin wines, Andrew and Emma have developed the Du Grappin range, produced with fruit sourced in the Mâconnais, Beaujolais and Rhône, designed to be playful, dangerously drinkable and appealingly affordable.
From two organically certified parcels in the Southern Rhone, these Syrah and Grenache grapes were harvested by hand and bottled unfined and unfiltered. This is a vibrant and thirst-quenching blend with aromas of wild strawberries, black cherry, blackberry and redcurrant aromas abound with silky tannins on the palate and a touch of fresh herbs.
A fun, delicious wine, which would pair well with a lovely pork belly roast.
