This is Vina Eden’s competition to rival top-quality sparkling wines from across the globe. It is Brut Nature which means no sugar is added and this is an extra-dry sparkling wine made in the French Champenoise method and showcases the cool-climate of Maldonado where the grapes are grown.
The wine has a lovely mature and complex nose and has a powerful and concentrated palate. For us, it is reminiscent of a Chardonnay Blanc de Blancs with a rounded mouthfeel, biscuity, citrus and yeasty, bright citrus and intense pithy notes alongside white peach with lively acidity. The traditional method is what provides the complexity of subtle toasty notes and a touch of smokiness. A stunning example of Uruguayan sparkling wine from the highest-rated producer in the country.
