This is a classic American style chardonnay, produced in half new and half old French barrels. The grapes were grown atop of a coastal mountain range at 750m altitude, these great growing conditions shine through. This is a top notch Chardonnay from Sonoma, expect depth & concentration in the wine. Flavours of green apple, honeysuckle and pear. Long finish with tons of cream and butter.
About the Supplier
Based in the town of Sonoma, Sojourn Cellars is a highly acclaimed winery specializing in the production of artisan Pinot noir, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Fruit is sourced from particular ineyards in both Sonoma and Napa Counties, and in partnership with the farm to assure that the grapes are produced using world-class growing techniques.
Sojourn began in 2001 as a collaboration between two tennis buddies who discovered a mutual passion for great wine. Today, what began as their own personal journey into the world of winemaking has evolved into a first-class boutique winery committed to creating high-quality artisan wines for people who know and appreciate them.
Founded by Craig and Ellen Haserot together with winemaker Erich Bradley, Sojourn Cellars makes wines that reflect a heartfelt commitment to producing carefully handcrafted wines for individuals who appreciate sophistication without pretension. Launched in 2001 with 100 cases of Cabernet Sauvignon, Sojourn remains today a boutique artisan producer of Pinot noir, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Sauvignon wines sold on allocation to their mailing list members and a select group of restaurants, retailers, and distribution partners.
They consistently produce remarkable wines with a hands-off natural winemaking style that showcases the character and personality of the individual vineyards. Now scoring very high scores with Robert Parker and Wine Advocate, the proof is in the pudding as they say.
