Vintage Seresin Sun and Moon Pinot 2012

£65.00

Seresin Estate was founded by the famous film director, Michael Seresin. Despite the glitz and glamour of the estate’s founder, it has, in our eyes, iconic status as one of the first New Zealand producers taking organic winemaking seriously; as well as making brilliant, world-class Pinot Noir! Michael had a desire to create wine in the most natural way possible, without compromising on quality and from organically and biodynamically tended vines, Seresin makes artisan wines produced through gentle, traditional methods.

Made from the best grapes from the estate, this is the purest expression of pinot noir that Seresin produce. It is savoury and complex, slightly floral, with rose petal, cherry, ripe berries, wild strawberry, potpourri, cardamom and cinnamon. There is a richness alongside the savoury, earthy elements with loads of tension and vibrancy. Supple tannins provide structure and a balance between power and elegance. At this age, it is in a perfect drinking window of maturity and extremely rare to find.
