85-year-old vines from a single vineyard of the viura grape at high elevation – this is a superb example of how white Rioja can compete with other world-class white wines. Tasted blind, this is often mistaken for oaked white Burgundy.

Golden straw in colour, the nose is powerful and intense with oak and cedar, rich, honeyed and saline. In the mouth, it is silky, fine and exceptionally expressive – cream, vanilla, lemon zest, stone fruits with spices all whilst being saline and with a freshness that will let the wine age for many years into something with even more complexity.
