This is a single vineyard planted with 100% grenache vines that are 85 years old (minimum). This makes a wine that is concentrated, complex and intense.
The wine is dark red in colour and unfiltered. It spends time in a variety of oak barrels, producing a nose which is intense in red fruits, aniseed, mint and herbal notes. The mouthfeel is voluptuous and grand – mouth-filling and elegant. Whilst fresh with long ageing potential, red and black fruit dominate the palate and subtleties of prune, fig and dates pop through when the wine has had time to breathe. Very long finish, carried by the freshness the old vines have produced.
