Biodynamic producer Tenuta Lenzini make superb wines on the Tuscan coast, next to the town of Lucca. La Syrah is their top estate wine. Tuscan Syrah is hard to find but the variety is well suited to the sandy, sunny and windy soil of the Lucca hills.

Aged for 24 months in large French oak barrels and bottled unfiltered, this wine has huge generosity of fruit and all the nuances of Syrah’s savouriness. Ruby red in the glass with a lovely floral, spiced nose. Fruit-forward and expressive, the palate is rich, generous and a layered journey of blue and black fruit alongside gentle cedar, pepper and spices. The wine preserves a certain freshness with an inherent, amazing ‘tension’ whilst maintaining a perfectly balanced elegance leading to a long, persistent finish.
