Domaine de Bellevue is a renowned certified organic and biodynamic producer in the Pays Nantais that is forging a modern path for Muscadet through creative winemaking, fearless experimentation and true passion thanks to Jerome Bretaudeau. Because of his freestyle experimentation with various ageing periods, vessels and grape varieties, almost all his wines are sold as Vin De France. Many have developed cult-like followings abroad and are difficult to secure most years.
“Gabbro” is vinified using grapes that have an average vine age of 30 years old. The wine displays a bright lemon with pronounced aromas of mint, fennel, and citrus. The palate is smooth and mouth coating with flavours of grapefruit, spice and a pleasant slight bitterness, which leads to a long lasting finish.
