Howard’s Folly Alvarinho is produced in Monção and Melgaço, a sub-appelation of Vinho Verde where Alvarinho is the only allowed variety and is known to produce some of its best expressions. The cool climate kissed by Atlantic winds, granite soils and high-altitude produce wine with elegance, gentle minerality and crisp acidity.

This is a rich and elegant expression of Alvarinho, with a beautiful nose of lime zest, acacia honey, lychee and apricots. The palate is taut, with medium, enveloping body; not your everyday cheap Alvarinho, but rather a complex and classic expression of the variety. Mingling flavours of peach, pear, melon and papaya are supported by the firm minerality that gives this wine its backbone, freshness and length. Simply delicious and such a great companion to food!
