Grower Series Merlot

Grower Series is a collaborative project with renowned wineries from various parts of the world. The objective is to develop a wine brand that our customers can recognise and trust and can be enjoyed at a reasonable price range.

This is a collaboration with Rouxvale from the Western Cape in South Africa. Rouxvale’s origins date back to 1761, this family-owned estate not only focuses on winemaking but also prioritises social sustainability by providing its workers with lodging, growing plots, child support and education, healthcare, and ongoing training. We are very proud to partner with Rouxvale in this project, to support their continuous effort in enhancing the local community.

One of the reasons people love merlot is that it wears its heart on its sleeve. You know what to expect, it delivers, and it’s bloody delicious. Rouxvale’s merlot is medium-bodied, fruit-forward, moreish and quaffable. It’s not the most complex version you’ll find, however, at this price point, it delivers well above what you would expect. Being fruit-forward, on the nose and in the mouth it is a big explosion of a variety of fruits, a big forest fruit salad. Red berries, apple, strawberries, blackberry just to name a few. The crispness and acidity is long lasting and balanced, as are the tannins, and you also get a touch of well-integrated oak.
