Château La Coste is famous for its sculpture park, the iconic building designed by some of the world’s most renowned architects and for its flagship range of organic Provence rosés. However, they also make white and red wine on the estate!
Les Pentes Douces is their mid-level red. For us, this had the body and feel similar to a Bordeaux; A nose of layered big red and black fruit, earthy, and touch of cedar. Lots of structure and fruit on the palette, blackcurrant and black cherry along with lighter notes of strawberries, some vanilla and tobacco smokiness. Tannins are super smooth; amazing with steak or any big hearty dish.
