Blackbook Pinot Noir
The Blackbook Nightjar Pinot uses French winemaking techniques to produce our own Burgundy style of English Pinot Noir. Made with burgundy clones, the winemaking uses 10% whole-bunch grapes (inc stalks) and 10% new oak barrel ageing for added structure and depth.
Being an English take on old-world pinot noir you should expect elements of sour and black cherries, black fruits and violet. The palate has sweet spice, black pepper, and a little grip on the sides of your mouth. The wine has a lovely backbone of acidity and structure which makes it especially good with food. This wine has 10 year plus potential to develop.
