This is the first-ever release of a 100% Pinot Meunier from the iconic ‘super grower’ Billecart Salmon, made from their fruit in the historic plots of the Vallée de la Marne, where the Pinot Meunier varietal gives wine from this region its distinctive identity. This is a limited release and not expected to be made on a regular basis.
The wine has delicately balanced floral notes, lime and golden straw on the nose. This is Extra Brut, therefore extra-dry. On the palate, it has the textured mouthfeel that Meunier gives with delicious, crisp flavours of pear, lemon, white cherry and red fruits. The finish lengthens to a pleasant crisp, extra dry saline tartness.
