One of the founder wines, this is a homage to Louis Billecart, with their top Blanc de Blancs vintage Champagne. It was recently promoted by Matthew Jukes as “one of only a handful of truly great Champagnes I have tasted in the last twelve months and I cannot recommend it enough.” 19.5/20.
As the top Blanc de Blancs that Billecart Salmon make, you will see the purity and minerality that their top chardonnay grapes give. Elegant and mineral, this is a blend of the best Grands Cru sites of the Côte des Blancs: Cramant, Chouilly for its finesse, Avize for its power and Mesnil-sur-Oger for its structure and longevity.
The wine has a golden yellow colour. On the nose initially a chalky mineral, subtly complex – scents of light cream, white flowers and citrus fruits. In the mouth, creamy, elegant texture with a beautifully refreshing balance giving you lemon zest, white peach and white pepper. This wine, powerful and long, prolongs you with an aromatic persistence with majestic finish.
