Rhône
The French Rhone Valley begins just south of Burgundy and travels down towards the Mediterranean, sitting between the dramatic mountainous landscape, the Rhone is split into North and South with the two producing very different styles. In the north, the grape variety Syrah dominates in red wine and Viognier, Marsanne and Roussanne are grown for white wines. Whereas in the south, the renowned Châteauneuf-du-Pape is famous for allowing 22 varieties, ranging from Grenache and Syrah to Picpoul.
