Loire
The Loire Valley in France is a vast and abundant land of winemakers. Most of the producers are set along the Loire River which travels from the cooler Atlantic coast, inland to a much warmer and drier climate. The difference in styles and producers is vast; mineral and saline white wines, refreshing and silky rosé wines, complex and earthy reds, sumptuous sweet wines and bright refreshing sparkling wines. The Loire is particularly famous for its infamous white wines; Pouilly Fumé produced from Sauvignon Blanc and Sancerre produced from Chenin Blanc.
