A stone’s throw away from Punta del Este via the iconic Ruta 12, Viña Eden sits on the slopes of Pueblo Edén’s mountains. The altitude, soil profile and Atlantic influence provide the ideal conditions for sustainable farming and the ripening of the purest fruit. It’s not by chance that many draw parallels between Pueblo Eden and Tuscany, Médoc and Hermitage!
Viña Eden grow Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Tannat for the production of a sparkling & still range that truly shows the full potential of the Maldonado terroir. With Tannat, in particular, the distinctiveness of the landscape shines. But taste the Chardonnay and the Pinot Noir blind and you might mistake them for a European pour.
The estate’s new state-of-the-art winery was designed for fully gravity-fed operations thus extending, in the cellar, the same sustainability principles that guide the vinicultural practices. A key design feature is the ageing cellar, nested in the mountain’s rock for a natural and perfect control of light, temperature and humidity.
